Pudong Intl Talent Hub Forum shines spotlight on young innovators
The 2025 Pudong International Talent Hub Forum recently took place in Shanghai, underscoring the district's dedication to attracting and nurturing young talent in innovation and entrepreneurship.
With the goal of positioning Pudong as a global magnet for exceptional professionals, the forum highlighted various initiatives aimed at supporting young innovators.
During the forum, local officials presented certificates to the newest members of Pudong's Pearl Program, a program designed to empower talented individuals.
Pudong is actively transforming itself into a premier destination for young innovators, in line with Shanghai's strategy to create a world-class talent hub. To attract young professionals, Pudong has developed specialized platforms for internships, employment, and startups, helping them connect with local employers and industry parks.
To ensure these young talents can thrive in Pudong, the district is creating a cost-effective and high-quality living and working environment. This includes a policy offering affordable space for living and entrepreneurship, as well as building youth-focused communities, innovation spaces, and vibrant public areas to enhance their sense of belonging.
Pudong also provides strong support for young entrepreneurs through funding, networking opportunities, and targeted initiatives under the Pearl Program. This year, 78 percent of the program's 1,300 new inductees are young professionals.
Looking ahead, Pudong plans to continue enhancing its services for young talent, leveraging its reform advantages to refine policies for innovation and entrepreneurship. The goal is to make Pudong a place where young professionals can grow and succeed.
