A group of master's and doctoral students from prestigious French universities recently embarked on an enlightening journey to Shanghai's Pudong New Area as part of the "Pudong Tour" event. From May 8 to 10, these talented individuals delved into all Pudong has to offer, exploring its innovative industries and talent policies.
Hailing from renowned institutions such as IP-Paris, Sorbonne University, and Paris-Saclay University, the participants specialize in fields closely related to Pudong's cutting-edge sectors, including biology, computer science, and artificial intelligence.
The tour was initiated by the All-France Chinese Youth Science and Technology Innovation Association, a professional grassroots autonomous organization and non-profit association registered in Paris, France. The association was established by young Chinese scholars and students studying in France, providing a comprehensive platform for Chinese youth across France to engage in mutual learning and exchanges in the fields of science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The tour introduced the students to Pudong's dynamic talent ecosystem and burgeoning industries, providing them with a glimpse of the myriad career opportunities available in the region.
The journey commenced with a stimulating discussion at the Pudong International Talent Station, where the group engaged with local experts to gain insights into the area's industrial landscape, post-doctoral support systems, and entrepreneurial policies for international students. Liu Lexuan, a doctoral candidate from Sorbonne University specializing in systems biology, expressed particular interest in Pudong's biochip technology. Liu articulated her aspirations, stating, "I have always been fascinated by Pudong's advanced biopharmaceutical industry. The concentration of biopharmaceutical enterprises, universities, and research institutes here is intriguing. This tour has provided me with a firsthand look at the region's cutting-edge research environment and vibrant atmosphere."
