The 21stConference on International Exchange of Professionals was rounded off in Shenzhen on April 16, 2023. Shanghai delegation did well on the CIEP 2023 in sections of “Talent Attraction,” “Brand Service,” “R&D Platform,” “Pudong New Area,” and “Lin-gang Special Area.” “Foreign Talents in Shanghai” (FTSH) presented itself as a major brand of expat service in Shanghai.

FTSH prepared panels based on the three e-books “Guide to Issues Regarding Foreigner’s Work in Shanghai,” “Policies on the Foreigner’s Work Permit in China,” and “Expat Guide: Work and Live in Shanghai.” Furthermore, the three books are accessed anytime and anywhere if one scans the QRs. Chinese-English “Expat Guide: Work and Live in Shanghai” copies were given out on the Conference and well received by foreign and Chinese visitors alike.

In the section of “Talent Attraction,” visitors were informed of expat-related issues in Shanghai, such as foreigners working in Shanghai, the services provided for foreign experts, and facilitation measures Shanghai has adopted for foreign workers. “Career in Shanghai” and “Foreign Talents in Shanghai” were presented as two major brands of expat service in Shanghai. Shanghai R&D Public Service Platform was another highlight.

Visitors stopped at Shanghai delegation’s booth for more information on the career and business in Pudong New Area, and on Lin-gang Special Area’s policies on household registration and housing for talent.
