Strengths
1. International remote consultation and referral
Shanghai Artemed Hospital will cooperate with many top international medical centers on medical technology transfer, academic exchange between doctors, remote consultation, patient referral, healthcare management model exchange, and technological innovation and application.
In the international office on the first floor, patients can directly consult online with international specialists from Germany Artemed Hospital and the Medical Center of the University of California San Francisco in the United States. If necessary, the hospital will also provide overseas referrals directly.
Germany Artemed Hospital stands at the forefront of various health fields such as pathological diagnosis and surgery related to musculoskeletal diseases, artery and vein disorders, and coronary heart diseases, as well as in the transplantation of human organs in Europe.
The Medical Center of the University of California San Francisco has five Nobel Prize winners in physiology or medicine. It successfully completed more than 15,000 organ transplants. It has performed more kidney transplants than any other hospital in the world. As the nation's largest brain tumor treatment center, it performs nearly 1,000 brain tumor operations every year.
2. Advanced medical equipment
Two pieces of high-end medical equipment are expected to debut at the hospital next year -- the integrated PET-MRI scanner and the medical linear accelerator renown in the field of tumor radiotherapy.
The integrated PET-MRI scanner (currently only four in Shanghai) combines positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) into one imaging system. It is of great value in the diagnosis and evaluation of neurological diseases, tumors, cardiovascular and pediatric diseases, as well as in guiding individualized treatment.
The linear accelerators play a major role in external beam radiation treatments for patients with cancer. An intelligent tumor radiotherapy system with 5G technology is not just a treatment device, but a new integrated digital system which includes a linear accelerator, a radiotherapy planning system and a tumor information system. The intelligent system will be used to cure any kind of tumor suitable for radiation therapy such as lung cancer, breast cancer and other chest tumors, pelvic, abdominal, head and neck tumors and extremity lesions.
3. Rehabilitation Center
In addition to a 470-square-meter rehabilitation hall, there will also be a 1,500-square-meter rehabilitation center at the hospital. A spray device is placed in the center to create a better environment for patient rehabilitation. The device will generate air negative ions by using artificial negative ion generation technology, which will improve the air structure to promote human metabolism and help with sleep.
