Job fair for foreign graduates held in Pudong intl talent hub

With the arrival of graduation season, Shanghai Pudong International Talent Hub hosted its first large-scale talent job fair for foreign students on May 8.
The fair attracted nearly 200 foreign students from 34 countries attending famous universities at home and abroad, including Fudan University, Tongji University and New York University Shanghai, all of whom are seeking job opportunities in the city.
Fifty-three major players and emerging startups in the areas of intelligent manufacturing, biomedicine and integrated circuits were on the lookout for potential new recruits, with 211 positions on offer.
College booths proved popular at the job fair. American student Kate from New York University Shanghai applied for one of 13 management positions provided by the university, hoping to promote cultural exchange between China and foreign countries though her job.
A total of 190 foreign job seekers reached initial agreements of cooperation at the fair.
Since it opened in April 11 in Pudong New Area, Shanghai Pudong International Talent Hub has actively built up platforms for talent exchange.
The hub is planning to increase the talent pool by having more diversified and quality activities with international influence so as to provide intellectual support for the construction of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and Shanghai Technology Innovation Center, said the organizers.
In addition, the hub has set up a professional team to serve foreign graduates in different languages and launched a one-stop service platform for foreign applicants.
