Jinqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone
As the former Nanhui District incorporated into the Pudong New Area in 2010, significant changes have occurred in Pudong’s allocation of productive forces and the development zone’s system. The whole area has adopted a “7+1” allocation strategy of productive forces. Jinqiao development zone has expanded its area from 27.38 square kilometers to 67.79 square kilometers, integrating with Nanhui Industrial Park and Pudong Airport Industrial Park (Airport Town Industrial Park, Chuansha Town Industrial Zone, Zhuqiao Airport Industrial Zone, and Laogang Chemical Industrial Zone), thus forming an industry cluster led by advanced manufacturing and modern production services.
The administrative committee of Jinqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone, the agency of the government of Pudong New Area, has been actively implementing the policy of “innovation-driven transitional development”. Looking to achieve simultaneous development of the southern and northern parts of the development zone and develop the “one zone, two parks” system, the administrative committee has been providing services for economy, programs and enterprises. It has been working to speed up the running-in and resources integration, promote the sustainable development of the zone and explore development potential.
